Microneedling
Microneedling also known as collagen induction therapy, is a procedure that causes a controlled injury to the skin to increase the production of collagen and stimulate new collagen growth. Rejuvapen NXT® is an FDA-cleared microneedling device that takes less than an hour, has minimal pain, and requires little recovery time. With its advanced design, the Rejuvapen NXT® delivers exceptional results.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling involves the use of fine, short needles to create small puncture wounds in the skin's upper layer. These micro-injuries trigger a natural healing process in the body, boosting collagen production for firmer, smoother, and more youthful skin. This self-repair mechanism helps diminish fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, trauma scars, and stretch marks. Additionally, it promotes the formation of new capillaries, enhancing nutrient-rich blood flow to the treated area.
The dermal injury caused by microneedling is fractional, affecting only a small percentage of the skin, which supports quicker healing and a reduced risk profile compared to treatments that affect the entire dermis. Unlike lasers, microneedling does not generate heat, resulting in minimal risk of pigmentation issues. For optimal results, a series of approximately 3 to 6 treatments is typically recommended.
Advanced microneedling devices like Potenza use radiofrequency energy to jumpstart the healing process and enhance the production of new collagen.
Professional micro-needling is considered to be one of the safest skin treatment procedures since it causes minimal damage to the skin.

What To Expect
This brief, minimally invasive procedure is conducted as an outpatient service. Initially, a topical numbing cream is applied and left for 15-20 minutes prior to your microneedling session. Using a handheld microneedling device, the skin is gently treated with several passes. Treatment duration typically ranges from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
Microneedling significantly enhances the skin’s absorption of products. Following the creation of micro-injuries, a tailored blend of MimoRX-exclusive serums, hyaluronic acid, various selected skin boosters, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is applied to the skin. These substances provide heightened benefits when used alongside microneedling. Research indicates that these topicals can penetrate the skin up to 50 times more effectively immediately after the treatment.
Benefits of Microneedling with RejuvapenNXT®
Microneedling with the RejuvapenNXT® offers benefits the other pens in the market do not offer. With RejuvapenNXT® the Tru Vertical technique is utilized to maximize the clinical benefits of any microneedling treatment.
Tru Vertical involves gentle touch and release action rather than dragging the device tip along the surface of the skin. This advanced clinal technique ensures there is no unnecessary trauma to the surrounding tissues beyond the collagen-producing vertical needle insertions.
